Michael Matthes and Alexander Jannink started their own digital label ‘Kubism Records’ in 2006 providing cool contemporary minimal and tech house. Shortly afterwards they were joined by Swedish deephouse producer ‘Martin Lissmyr. Who proved to be both a reliable web master and a true graphical artist for Kubism…
… after a successful first release by Martin Lissmyr, it didn’t take long before other talented artists were featured. Ghent based dj-producer Roebin de Freitas and Berlin based liveact Kujoma, for example, appeared on Kubism already.
The most eye-catching release until this moment, however, is the so-called ‘Mushroom Rush EP’ by Vanilladisiak (Alexanders alter ego). It featured 5 of his tracks devided over two separate volumes. These tracks were escorted by an incredible amount of 8 remixes by artists like: Julien Chaptal (RemoteArea) Less (Enliven) Ivo Deutschmann (KarateKlub), Keinzweiter (Archipel) and Le Chien Perdu (Karat).
There is fresh material awaited from previous mentioned artists, a breathtaking release by Art Bleek (RushHour) and a V/A compilation accompanied by a video.
